⛩ The Eleventh Division, sometimes referred to as the Zaraki Division, is part of Gotei 13 in Soul Society. This Division is led by Captain Kenpachi Zaraki.

Kenpachi Zaraki is the 11th captain of Gotei 13. During his criminal past prior to his Shinigami career, when he lived in the 80th North District of Rukongai, Zaraki met a pink-haired girl from Kusajishi, the 79th North District, and decided to name her Yachiru after the woman he admires and respects above all else. Yachiru would become his faithful partner throughout the story, even becoming his Vice-Captain once he became Captain.

During his childhood, he was already an exceptional swordsman, slaughtering all life until he met the 1st Captain of the 11th Division and, at the same time, the first kenpachi, Yachiru Unohana. Having drawn level with the latter, he set himself the goal of surpassing her. After defeating Kenpachi Kiganjô, he became the eleventh Shinigami to hold the title of exceptional fighter.

His reputation for bloodthirstiness made him despised by Byakuya Kuchiki and Kaname Tōsen, but respected by Ikkaku Madarame and Yumichika Ayasegawa, and feared by Yoruichi Shihōin. His strength in battle would prove to be the key factor in the war against the Quincy.
