⛩ The Mark of Sacrifice is the mark affixed to those summoned for the invocation of Fate, a sacrificial ceremony in which those consecrated by the laws of causality transcend their humanity, culminating in the creation of an apostle or a member of God Hand.

The lives of those sacrificed, often those of loved ones, are then offered to the creatures of darkness and ritually murdered. In the case of God Hand members, the life force of the deceased is used to complete the summoner's transition.

The only 2 known survivors with this mark are Guts and Casca, who survived the eclipse that created Femto.

After these events, Guts' quest will be to take revenge on Griffith and the God Hands accompanying him, and he will live for this alone, even if it means hurting people in the process...
